We would like to keep rules as simple as possible, however we understand that sometimes, clarification helps in the long run. Below you will find additional details as to the expectations and mechanics of playing in Reign & Ruin.
TOPICS
On Titlers: While hover text can be useful in noting things that cannot be seen outright on your avatar, large amounts of text can negatively distract from immersion. Please keep titler to PERTINENT INFO ONLY. For example, your character's name is different from your display name. Your race, if not visibly obvious, and if you are in a disguise. Anything that can be learned via interaction SHOULD NOT be in your titler. For example, a scent, if you are covered in a substance, if you are slurring your speech, etc.
On High Level Magic/Items: No one wants to play with a power gamer and when everyone is super, no one is. Due to the nature of successful stories having something to aspire to, some high level magic and items simply won't work or do not exist so that there is something to be worked toward. A general rule of thumb is:

Any spell over level 6 is considered high level and should be rare and/or able to be cast by higher skilled magic users.

Any item of Rare or Legendary status should be difficult and/or considerably expensive to obtain.

Any Mythic level items are only gained through offical sim storyline​s.

The highest tier of spells are only able to be cast by sim NPC and established characters that have applied for these. For example, legendary resistances are only permitted by BBEG's in sim storylines.

Resurrection, Foresight, Mass Heal, Storm of Vengeance, True Polymorph, Power Word Kill, Wish and Imprisonment are working mechanics on sim and require additional milestones gained through consistent roleplay to gain access to. You will need to WORK to gain this magic and it is not given as singular quest rewards.
​On Avatar Appearances: It is not our intent to police the look of any player characters on sim, however due to the nature of our setting and the wide myriad of options available, to ensure our immersion and theme, we do have a few requirements:

All character must be 18+ in appearance and behavior. Full Stop; no negotiation. If you are playing a small-in-stature race, such as a goblin or halfling, we expect to see developed anatomy. If you cannot abide by this rule, you are more than welcome to play your character elsewhere. If you are confused for a child avatar, you will be ejected.

The location of the sim is primarily based in a desert and décor is themed on an Arabian/Persian/Middle Eastern feel. While you are not required to be in this style of dress, this would be the 'standard'.

We are an adult sim, in such you will not be booted or banned for varying states of undress and/or nudity, however there may be IC consequences for running around with your cash and prizes on display. While we are an adult sim, we are not an erotica based sim. There are a plethora of other venues available for your enjoyment should you wish to have your experience be primarily of an ERP nature.

Please be considerate with avatar sizes. While larger beings, such as trolls, giants, dragons and the like may be on sim, they would not feasibly be able to enter most places due to their size. If you choose to play a large size being, be aware you may be self-limiting the number of places you may be able to go/fit.

Hype-sized genitalia including phallus', vulva, breasts and posteriors are not welcome on SIM. It is one matter to be 'well endowed'; it's another to be outright obscene.
On Combat & Fade-to-Black: When it comes to combat, not every player is here to PVP at all times. That being said, when initiating combat, the aggressor is not permitted to decline combat after the first roll has been thrown. The defender however, may decline the combat by not rolling. If both sides of the battle have rolled, the combat is considered valid.

When it comes to Fade-to-Black (or commonly referred to as 'FtB'), this is intended as a means for players to agree on something that has happened without the need of typing out the entirety of the scene. For example, a bar fight that both players have agreed on does not need to have a defined winner, but both players walk out with bruises and bloody noses. Another example would be those of an erotic or sensitive nature.

Keep in mind that just because a scene was FtB does not mean that it did not happen. You are simply preferring to leave the details vague, but the consequences clear. FtB scenes are still considered valid.
On Alternate Accounts (Alts): We do not need to know who your alts are and since this information is protected under TOS, nor does anyone else. However, we do have preferences that we hope that you abide by.

If you decide on bringing an alt to Reign & Ruin, and you are already a leader of a faction or guild, the alt is NOT permitted to be a leader of another group as well. While we know we can't enforce players being honest, we absolutely can remove the position of leadership if either responsibilities are suffering. If you believe you are capable of handling more than one, by all means, try. Do not let admin find out.

Those that abuse using alternate accounts to harass players (including admins) will have all known accounts banned.
On Player Disputes: We are adults here; please behave like it. If there is a dispute between players, you will be encouraged to utilize the mute, block , report and de-render capabilities of the platform. If the issues continues, bring the issue to an Admin.

Be aware, that if an Admin has to get involved, we are working under the assumption that a TOS violation has occurred and resolution may include banning.
On Rental Spaces: Rentals are on a first-come-first-served basis and ONE rental per avatar. There are no reservations offered for those seeking to secure a specific location. The current rental rate is 3L per prim and limited to the unit rentals. Additional prim purchases are not offered at this time.

'Wandering' prim allotments are offered at the rate of 3L per prim with a maximum allotment of 10 prims. These are not to be used to extend allotments in home/business rentals and will be terminated and refunded if rented by a current tenant.

Subtenants are permitted and you are able to add them yourself through the rental box on your unit.

All items should be INSIDE your rental. Certain items may be placed outside of your rental, i.e. benches, stools, foliage, etc. However, they will be returned without notice if they are deemed not to fit the theme of the build.

Certain rentals with higher prim allotments are locked for use by factions and guilds and not offered for individual players or coteries.

High script usage items and or disruptive (loud or repetitive sounds, script errors, flashing or overly bright lights) items will be returned without warning.
